LEXUS: a japanese luxury car of Toyota | Car Showroom - Lexus is a luxury car division of Japanese car manufacturer Toyota Motor Corporation. Introduced in 1989 in the United States, Lexus is now sold around the world and became a best-selling brand of premium cars in Japan. Lexus vehicles are officially sold in over 70 countries and territories around the world. Lexus brand is ranked among the ten most important brands in the global world of the value of the Japanese market and the brand is an important contribution to the premium automotive sector. Division headquarters are located in Toyota, Aichi, Japan, large operational centers in Brussels, Belgium, and Torrance, California, United States.

Lexus is the result of a proposed flagship sedan that started underground in 1983. This effort became the original Lexus LS, which was the first vehicle to carry the Lexus brand in its launch in 1989. In the following years, Lexus added sedan, coupe, convertible and SUV models. In 2005 a hybrid version of the RX crossover has begun, and other hybrid models were introduced to the Lexus lineup. In 2007, Lexus launched its performance division of the F mark the launch of the IS F sport sedan, followed by LFA supercar in 2009.

From the start of production, vehicles, Lexus has always been produced in Japan, with manufacturing centered in the Chubu and Kyushu regions, and especially Toyota Tahara, Aichi, Chubu, and Miyata, Fukuoka, Kyushu plant. Assembly of the first Lexus built outside of Canada, Ontario, Canada-produced RX 330, began in 2003. Following a reorganization of the company from 2001 to 2005, Lexus also operates its own engineering and manufacturing centers solely responsible for the division of vehicles.

Since 2000, Lexus has increased its sales outside of the major U.S. markets through a growing worldwide. Division dedicated to dealers, the Japanese domestic market in 2005, became the first Japanese premium brand to launch its country of origin. In addition to debut in South-East Asia, Latin America and other export markets in the region has since followed. assembly of the division has also been extended to meet specific area of transmission model and configuration.

Toyota will Launch 10 Hybrid Car Models

Toyota plans to launch ten new hybrid models globally until 2015, according to business plan released by this Japanese automotive manufacturer.

According to the New York Times, if Toyota's previous statements regarding the development of hybrid cars is still valid, six of the 10 hybrid models will enter the market in 2012.

"Not all hybrids will be sold in the United States," wrote New York Times.

The public has already known about the hybrid Lexus 200h CT and Toyota Prius V released in 2011 that is more roomy.

The new Prius for Europe and Japan market has been introduced at the Geneva Motor Show 2011. The new version is similar to Prius V but the it is capable of accommodating seven passengers and put lithium-ion batteries instead of nickel metal hydride batteries. Toyota likely will give a separate name for the model.

Toyota Prius is more compact, like the concept of Prius C, is possibly included in this group. Prius' plug-ins " which have traveled 13 miles , will be launched to the market in early 2012.

Toyota also said that they would continue the project for pure electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel-cell.

Toyota has showed their RAV4 electric version, which was developed with Tesla Motors, at LA Auto Show in November.

Based on their business plan, Toyota also will improve fuel economy of gasoline vehicles. Also mentioned in the plan is the continued effort to position Lexus as a global luxury brand.

They plan to have a hybrid variant of their fastest vehicles in the early of 2020.
